I found 3 Cisco routers dumped in the back @ work and plan on putting these in a lab. 2 are 2501 and the other is a CPA-2514. Can anyone point me to a cisco pg where I can find out the diff between the 2501 and the 2514. Also I'm wondering what the standard o/s, memory etc should be for these.
I think these may have been in the back since Y2K, so after I reset pwd's I want to upgrade o/s etc... On powerup they display... 1 with System Bootstrap, Version (3.3), SOFTWARE and 2 with System Bootstrap, Version 5.2(8a), RELEASE SOFTWARE 1 with: IOS (tm) 3000 Software (CPA25-G-L), Version 11.1(5), RELEASE SW (fc1 1 with : IOS (tm) 3000 Software (IGS-I-L), Version 10.3(19a), RELEASE SW (fc1) and 1 with: IOS (tm) 3000 Software (IGS-IN-L), Version 10.3(11), RELEASE SW (fc1) If I don't have a cisco pwd for their site, is there somewhere to download current bootstrap and ios?
