I have recently used the following ... I guess its just the same ??? username USER01 privilige level 15 password CISCO ! line vty 0 4 login local ! This provides for a local username and password without having to use a TACACS or some other authentication server .... which can be quite monotonous if you have a relatively large amount of routers/switches ... as I do :(
