Running into an issue that I can duplicate in the lab and was wondering if anyone had noticed this behavior. 6500 with dual sups/MSFC and a FLEXWAN, I am testing with a 4 ports serial PA but seen problem with PA-A3-T3 also. When converting to single router mode, (SRM) I write erase the MSFC on the sup in mod2. Then configure the MSFC in mod 1 for SRM. Go back to sup in mod2 and type the three lines for SRM on it and it synchs up just fine. At this point VLANs and serial interfaces are operational from active MSFC in mod1. Test failover by doing a "switch sup", sup/MSFC in mod2 take over. All the VLANs work fine but the serials are in the administratively shutdown mode. Do a no shut on serials and they work and they continue to work subsequently.
Got TAC looking at it but their not sure at this point. Thanks Dave -- David Madland Sr. Network Engineer CCIE# 2016 Qwest Communications Int. Inc.
