I've decided to take the plunge. 1. Has anyone ever successfully installed Snort on a 2000 box?
2. I downloaded Snort 1.8.6 and WinPcap. Dunno why I pulled down Winpcap, but I did. 3. Either way I'm just a newbie to Snort(IDS) and can't find a down and dirty guide to get started... Any help would be appreciated.
