If I understand what you're asking, I think you need to change your question to, "How many users / servers can be on either side of my 100Mbit physical network segment before performance is lost?" And the answer is.... Tell us more about your infrastructure. How much traffic is traversing the link and how much is local on each side of the link? What is the current link utilization? Where is(are) the router(s) in this situation? In other words, how are the two networks communicating today? How will bridging the sites change your traffic patterns? Are there delay sensitive applications? You need to answer these, and likely many other, questions before you can make a determination on how best to address your issue.
