Mark, I seem to recall from a document on CCO that Cisco's "T" releases were on a separate release track than the release of the non-T releases of the same version. In other words, 12.1 and 12.1T are parallel releases that do not cross over. It's not until the next minor version (in this case 12.2) where the previous version's T's are integrated into the mainline IOS. Therefore any 12.2T's will become a part of 12.3 mainline IOS. At least, that's my understanding of it all.
To get the "ip address dhcp" command, upgrade to a 12.2 IOS. I am using 12.2 on a 1605 at my house with a cable modem and DHCP address.
