Yes from the "if-console x" you can connect to the VIP and reload it. Since this is not really supported I tried it and though the RSPs never reloaded nor changed status, (master/slave) there was about a minute outage and I had lots of tracebacks and other ugly messages in the log.
If a production net you best get a maintanence window as your mileage may vary!
