We do use Verizon as well as several others. It IS possible to have ADSL with the same up and down. SDSL isn't be definition just the same bi-directional throughput speed. I have with Verizon as well as SWB ADSL customers who get the same up and down speed. They are, however, still held by the limits of ADSL. IE wire distance from the telco.
