Hello, I have one question and maybe you could help me
with this.
Suppose that we have several routers speaking OSPF.
Now suppose that two of them (A.B.C.D and E.F.G.G) are
redistributing the same static router (redistribute
static subnet), let's say for example that they are
redistributing X.Y.Z.W/24

Bye default these ASBR's redistributes this route as
OSPF External type 2, and therefore with a metric of
20. Right?
Well, if we go to a third router in the cloud, I
expected to see two routes to X.Y.Z.W/24 with metric
20 and therefore doing load balancing, but in fact I
can see that this router only sees one:

ROUTER#sh ip route x.y.z.w/24
Routing entry for x.y.z.w/24
  Known via "ospf 500", distance 110, metric 20, type
extern 2, forward metric 8
  Last update from a.b.c.d on ATM1/0.109, 00:07:02 ago
  Routing Descriptor Blocks:
  * X.Y.Z.W, from A.B.C.D, 00:07:02 ago, via
ATM1/0.109
      Route metric is 20, traffic share count is 1

What's the meaning of "forward metric" value? I have
found that this value is the cost from ROUTER to
A.B.C.D, and I suppose that this value is used to
select the route to X.Y.Z.W. Am I right?
And, why doesn't appear a second route with metric
20??
