Even to this day there are a significant number of CCIE's who don't
advertise their numbers.  In fact, I know a triple-CCIE who deliberately
tries not to tell people his background as a matter of routine.

Which is why I think Cisco should come up with another program that sits on
top of the CCIE.  Call it the CCIM (M for master) or whatever name you want
to use.  Make the CCIE  a prereq for signing up.
