What kind of QoS? I don't think most methods require IP unnumbered?? Can you
copy and paste a configuration attempt so we can see what you're doing and
the error messages?

I've never run into an issue with allocating IPX addresses to a link that is
using unnumberd for IP. That sounds very strange. Once again, I think we
better see what's happening.

Yes, but some QoS methods are IP-specific. And this could be an issue. You
could be doing everything right on the IP side, and still IPX traffic could
delay VoIP packets.

How big is this IPX network? Are you using RIP and SAP? On a network with
lots of network numbers and services, RIP and SAP will saturate your 256 K
link every 60 seconds for a few seconds. Voice could be awful in this
situation....

You should use EIGRP, static routes, IPXWAN, snapshot routing, or one of a
number of other options for reducing bandwidth consuption by IPX routing and
service advertising. (In fact, you might want to upgrade to IP and get rid
of IPX all together?)
