What does the written security policy state? I would be very surprised that
a telco did not have a detailed security policy, not to mention detailed
acceptable use policies, employee handbooks, etc :->

My own opinion - there is absolutely no need to integrate the two. There are
too many bad things that could result, including compromise of customer
information and perhaps even compromise of the phone network itself. The
only good thing I can think would happen is that things might become easier
for a few data network support people.
