Oks, i get it. Thanks for the responses. However, taking cisco switch 1900, f0/26 and f0/27 are uplink ports.
1) Now, if i want to connect f0/26 of switchR to f0/27 of switchS, I have to use a crossover cable because Im connecting two ports which are both crossed. Am i right? 2) Secondly, I have also heard that cisco has switch ports which are capable of changing between crossed and straight configurations. They supposedly auto-detect the cable and the connection on the other end. Which switches have this capability? For switches which have this capability, does it mean that in situation (1) above, I could also simply use a straight cable if the 1900 had this auto-changing capability?
