[resend with mods]

The Citizendium List has not been very high volume compared to most of
the other Special Interest Group discussion lists that I have been on.

Announcements are best handled by blog, or by a separate ANN list.

Participants who wish to avoid excessive mailbox stuffing can switch
to the very convenient newsreader format from Gmane -- I personally
use this for keeping track of many different lists that I monitor --
try it, you'll like it! Maybe it would help to explain how to
access the Gmane facility again? Mine is a very old browser,
so anything I say would be out of date on that score.

The Forum has become a very chatty place, with the same old issues being
raised again and again, with not much "wiki-historical consciousness", or
any sense of progress, and was eating up way too much time for me personally.

For those of who feel that real dialogue needs to be carried out,
we need to go back to white-listing the known participants. Yes,
one will hear the occasional discouraging word, but discouraging
facts need to be addressed if they are to be treated as problems
to be solved.
