All, I would like to announce that we have a new Approvals Management Editor: Dr. Nancy Sculerati, professor at the NYU medical school. Dr. Sculerati has been one of our most active contributors and her work on nearly every aspect of the project has been invaluable. She was a key author of our first approved article, "Biology," and has been very active on the Executive Committee and as a constable (since she has become an editorial personnel administrator, however, she has stepped down as a constable).
Dr. Sculerati, in response to the call for leaders https://lists.purdue.edu/pipermail/citizendium-l/2007-April/000941.html proposed to fill a new position to be titled "Approvals Management Editor." I think I can speak for the Executive Committee in saying that we were very happy to accept her proposal. Dr. Sculerati will be the go-to person for questions about article approval. She will track article approval as well as the major editors and authors involved in each approval. She will also aid co-ordination between constables and editors to effect approvals, and oversee proofs of approved articles for copyediting purposes. She is working as a volunteer--something for which we ought to be very grateful, considering her qualifications. Thanks, Nancy!
