All, Getting new Citizens on board is now laughably simple for constables--it's literally just a click of a button.
We are bored. We need more applications. So I have just now quietly kicked off a new recruitment effort, by e-mailing the big academic philosophy lists, PHILOSOP and PHILOS-L. Within 30 minutes, two new people have arrived, including the chair of Marquette's philosophy department. If I have my way, our recruitment drive will be simple, but effective. Here's the new homepage for the recruitment drive: http://en.citizendium.org/wiki/CZ:Recruitment The mail that I sent to the philosophy lists is linked from the above page. Interested? I hope so. Here's all I ask you to do: (1) If you mail a mailing list, make a blog post, or do anything else that gets us attention from a group of people, please record your work on the above page. (2) If you're interested in helping with recruitment, or if you have helped, then please write your name at the bottom of the page. It's up to you when and how you'll help--unless you write (assignable) after your name. In that case, either I, or perhaps a future recruitment organizer, will give you assignments. (Mwa-ha-ha-ha!) My pledge, which I am going to try to keep (I'm putting it on my calendar), is to post to at least one mailing list per week. If ten of us did that, by golly, I can *guarantee* you'd see great gobs of new contributors all the time! --Larry _______________________________________________ Citizendium-l mailing list [email protected] https://lists.purdue.edu/mailman/listinfo/citizendium-l
