All, The recently-approved "What's Your Article?" initiative (http://www.whatsyourarticle.org/) will be getting started soon. In fact, consider it started--feel free to put your contributions in the new WYA: namespace. (You can be the very first person to put something in that namespace. Woo-hoo!)
I'm not actually writing to "formally" kick off the initiative. I'll do that probably in a few days. I'm writing to see if anyone would like to help monitor a new shared e-mail account, and accept articles. If you're interested, please sign up here: http://tinyurl.com/2p9ppr Also, please don't forget about our ongoing initiatives: http://en.citizendium.org/wiki/CZ:Core_Articles http://en.citizendium.org/wiki/CZ:Recruitment Our Core Articles initiative seems to be working pretty well, although of course we've got a lot of work to do. And recruitment is *really* paying off--thanks to those who have helped so far--we've got a steadily higher rate of new applications. And we've only just started. So, again: if you want to help CZ, but you don't know what to do, then please, go to the recruitment page and help spread the word! Finally, we're working on a press release...I'd rather not say when...but be ready for a possible spike in activity fairly soon, so there might be lots of new people to welcome. That's what we always hope for. Sometimes press releases elicit shrugs from reporters, but there's a good chance ours will generate some interest (and traffic). Expect a long propaganda piece from me at the same time, which I've been working on. It's great fun reviewing all our progress and our plans. Among other things, I've discovered (with our local statistician's help) that our growth is now clearly accelerating. It's up to us to keep it accelerating! We're also going to want to make the November 7 Write-a-Thon a particularly good one, so keep that in mind.
