I would like to ask for a brave volunteer to take the bull by the horns...and ''begin'' to document our many templates on a new [[CZ:Templates]] page, which are often very different (and intentionally so) from Wikipedia templates. You might start here:
http://en.citizendium.org/wiki?title=Special%3AAllpages&from=&namespace=10 Obviously, ignore all the metadata and credit templates. It's frankly getting ridiculous that we do not have a central location explaining the various templates we have available. As you go through the templates, delete any that aren't being used. You can check whether they're being used by clicking the "What links here" link, in the left-hand links (the toolbox). A list of "questionable" or "puzzling" templates, also on [[CZ:Templates]], would also be handy. I would also like to introduce two operational rules (which might also go on [[CZ:Templates]]): (1) If you introduce any template that would introduce some new feature across many articles, let other people know, e.g., in the forums. Don't presume to start new practices solo. Others will probably not follow you, and if they do, an unexamined practice might end up being more trouble than it's worth. (2) Whenever you create a new template, document what it does on [[CZ:Templates]]. (Yes, yes, this is something we should have been doing from the start. Better late than never!) I think we might also need a [[CZ:Categories]] page as well. Our categories are better-documented, but there are still several "special" categories that only some people use, which I'm sure you can agree is sometimes problematic.
