All, The Citizendium proposals system
http://en.citizendium.org/wiki/CZ:Proposals seems to be working well. Thanks to all the "beta testers" and the drivers of now over a dozen proposals in the system. We have even had our first proposal make it all the way through the system. I'm quite happy that people seem to have taken to it! It seems to answer a definite need and so far seems to be answering the need reasonably well. There have been no significant objections to it, either in the Executive Committee or elsewhere. So I hereby declare it officially "open for business." I won't bother trying to explain how the system works here. Just see the URL above, where it's all very carefully (but briefly) laid out. Please bear in mind that if you have a bright idea and you want to see it through to fruition, using this system, you're going to play the role of "driver." And then you should read the full policy page carefully: http://en.citizendium.org/wiki/CZ:Proposals/Policy It shouldn't be *too* painful. But as drivers become familiar with that page and the system generally, I hope you will let me know if anything in that document is unclear, needs expansion, could be usefully reworded, etc. We do have an excellent candidate for Proposals Manager (he can't start for another week; he's on vacation). But we're also open to other candidates: if you're interested, please send me an e-mail soon. In the interim I will continue to serve as the Proposals Manager "pro tempore." --Larry _______________________________________________ Citizendium-l mailing list [email protected] https://lists.purdue.edu/mailman/listinfo/citizendium-l
