All, I just want to call your attention to two pages.
(1) This is a brand new proposal from me. I'm proposing that we list, own up to, and apologize for our major errors, to be placed on a Corrections talk page. The concept is similar to the journalistic practice of listing corrections with the apology, "we regret the error." The details here: http://en.citizendium.org/wiki/CZ:Proposals/Self-Correction_Policy The proposal has many benefits, I think, not least of which is that we improve our credibility and cause people (including journalists) to ask, "Why isn't Wikipedia doing this, like Citizendium?" Anyway--any feedback on that? (2) The "Bold Moves" page still exists and is still in use: http://en.citizendium.org/wiki/CZ:Bold_Moves Please use it if you do anything that has any reasonably sweeping consequences, like adopting a new template, a new rule or convention, etc. If it's already in [[CZ:Proposals]], no need to put it on [[CZ:Bold Moves]]. The latter page is for important stuff we are just doing without asking anybody's permission! We do love that sort of boldness (see http://en.citizendium.org/wiki/CZ:Be_Bold ... or daring, or initiative, or whatever you like...). But it is crucial, to take full advantage of all the "eyeballs" available on CZ that our more significant "moves" be out in the open. So please consider [[CZ:Bold Moves]] a crucial component in maintaining a fully transparent and collaborative community. I've been absolutely delighted, by the way, with the excellent activity we've been seeing on the wiki lately. I chalk this up to Derek Harkness' new skin, and maybe also the new Quick Start page (check it out if you haven't yet: http://en.citizendium.org/wiki/CZ:Quick_Start). --Larry _______________________________________________ Citizendium-l mailing list [email protected] https://lists.purdue.edu/mailman/listinfo/citizendium-l
