Dear All, As announced on April 08, 2008, I had put up the following cases to the Editorial Council for being included as special cases as they are active members of CZ and also willing to serve the EC. As there has been no objection, within one week, i.e., by Tuesday April 15, 2008, 03:30 hrs,UTC, I am including them in the list of EC members. However, there is a caveat attached to it: When these people were originally invited to join, I did not adequately explain that they needed to fulfill condition 4. Rather than embarrass them and us by withdrawing the offer, we are including them. However, I will be advising any future Selection Officials that we must first ask all candidates if they fulfill condition 4. The fact that these Citizens are included in this Council does not mean that we are simply scrapping condition 4 without a vote; it should not be interpreted as a precedent for anything other than how to deal with an administrative error." We are still short of 4 Editor members and 1 author member, the vacancies that we hope to fill up soon. We have a lot of work to do and I would like the Council to be formed fully before it can start functioning.
