All, I know this doesn't have much to do with CZ, but it does explain a little more about what I've been distracted by, and maybe my friends here will be interested.
The main WatchKnow site's management has recently passed into the able hands of Dr. Joe Thomas, so I have finally been able to turn to other educational projects, including a book-length essay, "How and Why I Taught My Toddler to Read": http://www.larrysanger.org/reading.html It presents a case study (my own little boy) of very early reading, and rebuts some common objections and misunderstandings of the practice of teaching babies to read. (You know--"Your Baby Can Read" and all that) You can see a video of my little boy reading at age 22 months, then later at 2, 3, and 4 years, also at the same URL. I'm also launching a new blog, devoted to early education tools & issues, and whatever else is on my mind, at http://www.larrysanger.org/ . I'm delighted to continue to be able to work on various WatchKnow projects, like this, through the support of the Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi. --Larry _______________________________________________ Citizendium-l mailing list [email protected] https://lists.purdue.edu/mailman/listinfo/citizendium-l
