The first stage of the current special election period **closes at
midnight UTC this Saturday, 27th July**. After that, it will no longer
be possible to nominate candidates for the councils, accept your
nominations, publish any election statements, or propose new referenda.
Any member of the project can make nominations.

To participate further, you don't need to make any statement; simply
enter 'accept' in the indicated place to ensure your name is on the ballot.
There are currently no accepted nominations for the Management Council,
three accepted nominations for the Editorial Council, and no nomination
for the post of Ombudsman.
Currently, eight referenda have been accepted for the ballot:

The ballot will begin on Monday 29th July at midnight UTC. Project
members who joined more than 30 days ago are eligible to vote. Voting
will use the plurality (first-past-the-post) voting system, i.e. whoever
gets the most votes is elected. Referenda will be decided by yes/no
responses, which is also how any single candidates for seats will be
approved or not.
