Colleagues,
I want to express my appreciation and admiration of John Stephenson for his running of the Special Election July-August 2013. I appreciate John's convincing me to give the election process another chance, as I was prepared to call for a moratorium on elections following three successive periods of 'non--elections'. John showed that if we run an election, hype it properly, and spike it with a number of progressive referenda, the community will respond.
