Information Technology Consulting Firm located in Wisconsin is currently
seeking a Lead Java Developer.  This position is located in Davenport,
IA. This contract is scheduled to start first part of September and an
estimated duration of 1+ year.

Job Description:
Perform Analysis, Design, Development and Testing of integrations from
existing system to an external system such as ChoicePoint, BillingCenter, or
J-Rater.  Under General Supervision, assume primary responsibility for
creating technical design specifications based on functional designs and
business requirements as well as development and testing of these
requirements. This will include working with IT Business Analysts to create
the technical design tasks and working in a team environment to develop and
test the required reports.
Requirements:
Java - This would include understanding frameworks, security, web services,
and unit testing.
Communicate effectively. The candidate must be able to be understood over a
conference call. The candidate must be able to communicate technical
thoughts and ideas.
Team Player.  The candidate will be on a cross functional team with
technical and non-technical personnel. The candidate should be approachable,
willing to work extremely long hours (including nights/weekends) in order
for the team to make their goals, and be willing to pick-up any work the
team needs them to do.
Mentor Junior Developers.  The candidate should be able to work with a very
junior programmer in terms of showing them the correct way to design and
develop software.
Testing. Be able to explain in detail the types of testing they have used,
how they have used testing to help them develop code, and how the testing
process should work.
Design Experience and Thought Leadership.  This requirement is contrasted
with job specifications or a candidate who is handed a set of requirements
and creates code. Code and Design Reviews.  The candidate should be able to
describe how code and design reviews work, their benefits, and their own
experience with these reviews.
Agile.  The candidate should understand Agile Scrum, know how to interact on
an Agile Scrum Team, and understand Scrum terminology.
Follow Client Coding and Design Standards.  The candidate should be able to
quickly learn and adapt to Client Coding Standards.
