JobTitle : Business Analyst Location : SanFrancisco,CA Duration : 6 month Contract Rate : Open DUTIES >> Overview The Business Analyst will work within the Europe Asset Services team, as part of the Global Reconciliation Workstream of the BlackRock integration project. Role and Responsibilities To work as a member of the dedicated Business Analyst team supporting the transition of the Reconciliation functions from the BGI model to the combined BlackRock/BGI model. This will involve: Understanding both current models, working closely with the expert teams gaining an understanding of their processes, controls and technology Producing business requirements, process maps and gap analysis Analysis of and support the design of the new ongoing model Documenting process flows and design specifications Translate the business requirements into functional specifications, capture user interactions, user interface specifications (i.e. screens and windows), outputs (i.e. reports and forms), interfaces and general systems requirements; assisted by the IT Lead where appropriate Undertaking system and model testing Participating in the transition planning Executing allocated transition tasks Design and document procedures and internal controls Although the above responsibilities are relatively general, once the work stream structures and plans become clearer a defined role will be allocated. SKILLS >> Skills required: *Well organised and a self starter Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst Enthusiastic and shows commitment Strong Analytical skills Ability to own issues/initiatives through to resolution Excellent communication skills Good eye for detail Good Microsoft Excel and Access skills Investment Industry knowledge ideal including all the different participant roles (fund managers, custodians, brokers, fund accountants, prime brokers etc)* The item in BOLD is an absolute must-have for the client.
