Job Purpose/ Description:
Work with engineering, operations, and application development groups to
support various external access environments and configurations, capacity
planning and performance management technologies.

Work Experience (Required):
*7+ years experience implementing and supporting Windows server operating
systems (2000, 2003).
3+ years experience supporting Citrix (Access Gateway, Web Interface, XenApp
4.5, 5.0)
4+ years experience in performance monitoring and management in a
distributed system environment.
4+ years experience in configuration management in a distributed system
environment.
2+ years experience with VMware ESX in a distributed system environment.
2+ years experience with Active Directory in a distributed system
environment.
2+ years experience with RSA Ace in a distributed system environment.
Experience with Scripting (PERL, etc.)*

*Working Knowledge (Nice to Have):
SAN/NAS (preferably Hitachi/NetApp)
Experience in capacity planning/modeling in a distributed system environment
Database technologies (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle)
IBM Tivoli Monitoring (ITM)
Tivoli Data Warehouse
Crystal Reports
VMware View
Hardware managers (Insight Manager, IBM Director)
LAN/WAN technologies and network protocols*

General skills (Required):
Strong conceptual and analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong knowledge of distributed computing environments, operating systems,
hardware platforms, networking, storage area networks and subsystems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to broker solutions among diverse teams.
Possess high-levels of accountability and drive, is innovative, solutions
oriented and must be able to apply a comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of
technical concepts, practices and procedures.
Demonstrate leadership, flexibility, teamwork, planning, quality, high
attention to detail, and process improvement skills.
A team player with strong interpersonal skills and both oral and written
communications skills.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
Responsible for supervising more junior staff in project capacities.
May serve as back-up for manager.
May have involvement during strategic planning and budget cycles to leverage
knowledge and anticipate technology transformation potential from a customer
perspective.

Required education/experience:
BS / MS or technical institute degree / certificate in Computer Science or
the equivalent combination of education, technical designations and work
experience.
More than 7 years of related experience in IT functions.
Typically experienced across multiple IT areas and all computing platforms.
Serves as point of escalation for complex issues.
Responsible for developing and executing project plans, as well as
coordinating groups of IT staff.
