*Job Title:* LANDesk Administrator and Support Engineer
*Location: * Raleigh NC
*Duration*: 9 Months Contract



- Local Preferred
- Some local and overnight travel may be required
- Candidate must have a valid driver license
- Tasks require that the candidate be able to kneel, crouch, crawl, reach,
lift and carry at least 60 lbs

*Description:**
*Client is currently seeking a short-term (9 months maximum) contractor to
perform the following tasks:
• Serve as the technical lead for migrating* LANDesk support *and knowledge
transfer from current seat management vendor

• Serve as the technical lead for testing vendor supplied procedures and
standards for *LANDesk administration *and revise/develop new documentation
as appropriate for use by client support staff


• Provide expert *LANDesk administration*, including upgrading of *LANDesk
Management Suite *and *Asset Lifecycle Manager* server software
• Responsible for server operating system, maintenance patches,
configuration files, system scripts, log files, etc. for supported services
and servers
• Perform system analysis, performance tuning and capacity planning
• Install and tailor systems hardware and software to meet operational and
business needs
• Analyze and design server hardware and software to meet operational and
business needs
• Transfer knowledge and transition LANDesk administration and server
support activities to state support staff
• Provide status reports to management
• Other projects as assigned by management

*Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:**
**Required*:
Minimum (5) years experience in the following areas:
1. LANDesk Management Suite administration
2. Windows server support



*Other Required Experience/Skills:**
*• MCSE Certification
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to develop, document and test procedures and standards for LANDesk
and server support
• Excellent customer service skills and phone etiquette
• Attention to detail
• Ability to perform diagnostics on software and/or hardware
• Ability to resolve routine and non-routine problems independently and in
consultation with senior level decision-makers, peers and vendors



*Preferred:**
*1. Linux server support
2. LANDesk Asset Lifecycle Management administration
