Requirements
* Understanding and knowledge of VMware solutions including Virtual
Infrastructure, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, Site Recovery Manger
* Understanding and knowledge of enterprise class storage systems (EMC
Clariion, EMC Celerra, HP EVA, etc*)
* 2+ years technical presales experience
* Experience with selling services as part of the solution
* Strong customer facing communication (oral and written) and relationship
building skills
* Ability to identify business requirements or challenges and develop a
solution to address those challenges
* Ability to work within a team setting or independently when required
* Strong time management skills with the proven ability to manage multiple
opportunities at various stages simultaneously
* Public speaking experience a plus (seminars, events, etc*)
* Technical delivery experience with virtualization, enterprise storage,
blade servers, and backup solutions a plus

Duties
* Team with sales team to present value and offerings to customers
* Discover and analyze the business and technical needs of a customer and
present solutions
* Develop strong relationships with the customer base in an effort to become
a trusted advisor to DSI*s customers
* Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors
* Periodically help to organize and present at customer facing seminars or
lunch and learns
* Stay current on all technologies relevant to the solution set (self study,
vendor training)
* Act as the primary liaison between the sales team and the technical
delivery team during the presales and delivery phase
* Author statements of outcome and provide peer review for other SE*s
statements of outcome
* Regularly meet with other members of the Sales Engineering team and
actively participate on discussing issues, lessons learned, new
technologies, and approaches
* Periodically deliver consultative billable engagements with customers
focusing on assessments or ROI studies
* Regularly provide technical sales training to the sales team on new or
current solutions
