Raleigh, NC 6+ Months Description: VB.Net Developers (3 openings) to continue custom development of a Web/Windows based Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for the Agronomic Division’s six laboratories (Nematology, Plant, Waste, Solution, Media, and Soil Testing). Responsibilities: Develop LIMS software based on existing Screen Prototype and Functionality design documents. The LIMS software shall include the following: Web based components: Maintenance Utilities, Worklists, Recommendations to include Calculations, Status Advance, Shipment Tracking Interface, Accounts Receivable Interface, and Reporting and Ad hoc query. Lab Instrument Interfaces to include Calculations will be Windows based. These components shall be integrated with the following recently developed, and functioning, Web based LIMS components: Role Based Security (interfaced with NCID and Active Directory), Sample Receiving, Data Entry, and Maintenance Utilities. The Contractor shall provide: Weekly written status report Detailed system documentation and user training for approximately sixty NCDA&CS Agronomic staff. A plan for knowledge transfer and turnover of the application to NCDA&CS Information Technology personnel.
