I am the Senior Executive Recruiter at Sonoma Consulting and I am currently working to fill a role for a *Senior Oracle DBA *that will be based on site in *Minneapolis MN* Job Title: Senior Oracle DBA Location: Minneapolis MN Duration:6 - 12Months *Must have H1b visa, Green Card Holder, or a U.S Citizen. Must provide a copy of Work Authorization and Drivers License. NO Candidates with FAKE H1b Copies.* Locals to MN HIGHLY Preferred. Length: 6-12+ Months contract. *Must Have Strong experience with: Oracle RAC, Linux, Dataguard, RMAN, some experience with Exadata.* Experience Level: 8 years As a Senior Oracle DBA, this person will be responsible for: • Providing database administration services in a large Oracle RAC/Linux environment. • Providing and maintaining high-availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) using Oracle Data Guard and RMAN technologies. • Design, plan, build and support an end to end technology stack supporting Target’s Business Intelligence applications leveraging agile methodologies • Perform problem resolution for complex issues including root cause analysis, and outline resolution options • Support migration from Oracle 11.2 to Exadata. • Use database expertise to identify and drive improvement efforts related to life cycle and patching of our database platform • Partner with application owners/teams to understand application and business needs and EOSL (end of support life) • Consult with development teams to advise on impacts of lifecycle and patching activities on the applications • Provide off-hours support, when required, for critical production issues. • Ensure process and technical documentation is complete per TTS (Target Technology Services) standards • Provide application performance tuning activities, where needed • Participate in database strategic planning (business and technology trends) • Provide clear and timely updates on status of assigned responsibilities • Stay current with technology and evaluate its impact on new and existing applications and platforms Requirements • BA/BS or equivalent experience • 8 years of total work experience • Has in-depth knowledge of state-of-the art engineering technical approaches in design, build, testing, debugging problems as required • Stays current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education Thanks, Arjun Mallik -Sr Executive Recruiter Sonoma Consulting, Inc.
