*Job Title* Cognos TM1 *Project Location* Chicago, IL *Duration* 6 months /Contract *Skills Required and Job Description:* *MOI : TELEPHONIC + SKYPE* *USC /GC /EAD GC ONLY* Must possess *TM1 multidimensional expression languages (MDX).* This is a crucial requirement. - Extensive experience with IBM Cognos TM1 and BI toolsets including hands on work expertise with 10.2 - 10.2.2 versions - Experience building budgeting and planning applications with TM1 Web and TM1 Applications web - Experience with building complex Websheets and understanding/applying best practices, optimization for performance and end user experience - Experience and proven ability to rapid prototype TM1 solution based on business requirements - Working knowledge and good understanding of accounting and financial analysis - Expertise with building complex rules & feeders and TI processes - Understanding of data warehousing, data structures, MDX and SQL *Major Duties* - Working on TM1 Design and Development at the functional and technical levels - Solution Prototyping and application design - Developing complete solutions based on existing prototypes and Business requirements - Unit testing of all deliverables - Data validation and analysis - Defect management and Issue troubleshooting - Developing solution documentation: Technical Design, Test Plan, End-User documentation, TM1 Admin run-book, etc. *EXPERIENCE:* Candidate will be required to show at least *6 Years of software development *for the office of finance experience, of which at least 6 years of continuous uninterrupted experience exclusively with TM1. *OTHER:* - This position is posted as a 6 month role, but a solid resource would likely be extended beyond 6 months if his or her performance warrants extension. *CONFERENCE CALL NOTES* - Group develops BI and Analytics Apps for Northern. That means they use Cognos TM1 and host of other apps to provide data analysis and reporting for the bank. - Will work on new projects. They have host of new projects. Be able to meet timelines for the new projects being started. - There’s about 5 projects. These resources will be working on more than one thing. - *Looking for Senior Developers with deep TM1 expertise.* - Technical developer as opposed to someone who just has functional Cognos knowledge. - Knowledge of financial terminology would be a very big plus. - *TM1 implementation experience. * - Must possess TM1 multidimensional expression languages (MDX). This is a crucial requirement. - Primary requirement is *understanding multidimensional modeling.* - Must be able to communicate and describe what he or she is working on. - Cube integrator, business rules, websheets, MDX, SQL, data modeling in TM1.
