CAN experience is ok, but not necessary. The most important skills are: 1. TCP/IP stack integration in embedded systems 2. Implementing PPP over USB 3. RTOS experience seeking an embedded firmware engineer to develop new products in the commercial trucking and fleet management market. The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of firmware development of the Vehicle Network Interface CAN and J1708, microcontroller firmware, integration of wireless technologies such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, CDMA, LTE, GPS. The candidate will also integrate other serial interfaces such as I2C, USB, SPI, RS-232, RS-485, etc. The candidate must be a hands on firmware engineer with proven experience in embedded microcontroller firmware development. We are driving growth of the Company's consumer and enterprise businesses through rapid expansion of core product lines and continued innovation of commercial transportation solutions ranging from advanced mileage and routing software to fleet management and electronic tracking. *Primary duties:* · Develop firmware using C language to integrate various peripherals, such as M2M Modems, GPS, BT, and Wi-Fi modules with a 32bit microcontroller. · Write low level C code to integrate other peripherals /communication buses into an embedded system such as UART, SPI, I2C, USB, etc. · Work with the hardware team to define requirements for microcontrollers and other hardware peripherals for new products. · First board bring up of prototype from factory · Participate in schematic reviews to optimize hardware and firmware integration. · Develop boot loader firmware for 32 bit microcontrollers · Support production and end of line test/provisioning in the factory · Work with Quality Assurance and Customer service to identify and resolve field issue *Required Qualifications/skills:* · The successful candidate will have a BS degree in Electrical engineering or computer engineering with 8-12 years of experience in embedded firmware development preferably in automotive environment. · Hands-on experience in writing firmware in C/C++ for embedded systems · Hands on working knowledge of 32 bit microcontrollers such as Microchip, NXP, STMicro, Freescale, or Atmel. · Experience integrating TCP/IP stack in embedded microcontroller platforms is highly desirable. · Experiece in RTOS experience such as FreeRTOS, eCos, or ARM RTX required · Ability to develop boot loader for the selected microcontroller · Ability to read schematics and interpret specs from datasheets of microcontrollers, memory chips, A/D, Accelerometers, serial communication chips etc. · Ability to integrate wireless modems such as CDMA, GSM, LTE modems, and Satellite modems into an embedded system · Ability to integrate wireless systems such as GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, RFID and the likes · Experience in wired communications protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, USB, and Ethernet. · Ability to develop application level state machines and low level drivers for hardware components. · Experience with revision control tools such as Bit Bucket, TFS, or similar · Basic knowledge in using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multi-meters, soldering iron, function generators, etc. · Familiarity with vehicle network interface such as J1939/CAN, J1587/J1798 is a plus but not required · Must be Detail Oriented, Team Player and willing to embraces new technologies · Ability to work with Contract Manufacturers and Joint Development Manufacturers · Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a larger development team · Must be self-motivated, creative, focused, accountable and have a strong follow-through to drive a project to completion · Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills · Must possess excellent, professional oral and written English communication skills to work in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team environment · Authorization to work in the United States B. *Desired skills: (Not Required)* · Expert in embedded TCP/IP stack integration and TCP/IP routing is highly desirable · Experience with vehicle network interfaces such as J1939/CAN, J1587/J1798 is a plus but not required · Familiarity with OBDII protocols is a plus · Truck or off-Road Heavy duty vehicle telematics is a plus. · Knowledge of Android OS kernel level customization is preferred. *cRegards,* *Bhavya Maheshwari**, * *Sr Talent Acquisition Specialist* *Email:- bha...@tekshapers.com <bha...@tekshapers.com> * -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Citrix and Sap problems" group.
