We are currently working on filling an exciting new contract opportunity for an *SAP Basis *position that will be based out in *Collegeville, PA*. *Job Title: SAP Basis* *Location: Collegeville, PA* *Duration: Long Term* *US CITIZENS / GREENCARD HOLDERS ONLY* *Overview*: Senior SAP Basis technical specialist, with comprehensive SAP knowledge working in a UNIX, especially AIX, environment. SAP Basis should be the primary skill set, with accompanying knowledge of UNIX and Oracle. This position is onsite, 5 days per week in Collegeville, PA. This position requires frequent client contact to resolve user support issues; therefore, excellent verbal communication skills are essential. Long term project through Dec 2018. *Job Responsibilities and Requirements:* The candidate will be responsible for implementing, administering and supporting SAP Netweaver J2EE / ABAP stacks running on an AIX / Oracle platform with a focus on Oracle database administration. The tasks will include SAP / Oracle performance tuning, recommending / building custom indexes, database layout / design, database sizing and placement, database reorganization strategies, and performance testing. In addition to SAP Oracle database administration, the candidate will also participate in system administration, network administration and operating system administration. Administration tasks include installing and upgrading SAP, applying support packs, applying kernel upgrades, installing third party software interfacing with SAP, participating in system copies / refreshes, performing installation qualifications to satisfy QA requirements, and participating in problem resolution including an on-call rotation. The candidate must have proven experience in supporting complex implementations of SAP based infrastructure solutions with diverse knowledge / expertise of multiple SAP products, including ECC, Enterprise Portal, BW, SRM, SCM, PI and Solution Manager. The candidate must possess a minimum of 6 years of SAP / Oracle and Netweaver / Basis Administration. Previous pharmaceutical experience is also desirable including a basic understanding of GXP as well as experience in performing IOQs using Good Documentation practices.
