The Sr Manager, Quality Assurance will be responsible for implementing organizational and departmental policies while leading the Quality Engineering Strategy. Overall this person will be responsible for all aspects of testing activities, implementation of best practices, and other QA related tasks. The Sr QA Manager will be a part of the Tech leadership team and should provide big-picture focus across all aspects of Meltwater Group projects. The position requires a motivated individual with excellent leadership skills, organizational skills, a strong ability to multi-task, and adaptability to rapidly changing priorities. In order for you to succeed in this role, you must be able to interact with multiple stakeholders across both the Business and Technology. This role must have deep technical experience as well as presence and stature to deal with non-technical stakeholders It will be critical for the person coming into this role to rapidely gain a complete understanding of our product space, technology, and architecture in order to develope and improve the overall QA Strategy. Currently the QA team is comprised of a cross-functional team of roughly 40 staff in the US / India and made up of Black Box Testers, White Box Engineers, Automation Engineerrs, and Load Test Engineering. Position Responsibilities / Essential Functions Demonstrated experience managing multi-national, cross-functional teams Ensure quality in all stages of the development lifecycle Abiity to challenge WhiteBox level QA Engineers (e.g. java, C, perl, etc programming experience - expect programming questions in screening) Continuously assess testing capabilities and identify tactical / strategic recommendations for improvement Previous experience formulating QA strategies for complex n-tier applications involving crawlers, search engines and distributed systems Drive the strategic direction of automation and performance testing Plan testing across projects, ensuring clear and consistant communication Identify and handel resource contention issues before they are a problem Demonstrated Project Management experience Proficient in Unix Strongly Preferred Qualifications A solid understanding of the following tools and technologies: Nutch, Search Engines / Lucene, SOLR, Hadoop / Map Reduce, SOA , ESB / Mule , ServiceMix Experience testing large scale and geographically distributed systems Experience testing SAAS applications is a big plus Architectural knowledge, experience with search engines, and security is desired and weighed heavily BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, other related technical field, or equivalent experience -- Thanks Pawan Bandaru Cougar Tech, USA pb...@cougartech.us -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Citrix and Sap problems" group.
