| Key Skills : | Skills: The Role: The QuickBooks Financing Risk Management Team is looking to hire a Data Scientist. The position is responsible for marketing models for SMB lending products. You will apply data mining techniques, perform statistical analysis, and build highly predictive models from both statistical and business perspectives. The ideal candidate will have experience in the SMB or consumer lending industry with a predictive modeling background and hands-on machine learning experience. Responsibilities: • Develop marketing models using historical campaign data to optimize campaign conversion rates at each step of the funnel: response, loan application approval, and loan funded. • Develop tools of automating data processing, cleansing, and verifying data integrity. • Create scores or systems to detect anomaly and risk indicators. • Perform data mining using state-of-the art methods. • Research and integrate third party data when needed. • Prepare model development and validation documents for legal/compliance reviews. • Work closely with product team and internal data engineering team. • Communicate effectively with cross functional teams and external lending partners. Requirements • MS degree or PhD in quantitative/statistical fields • 2-3+ years in SMB or consumer lending risk management • Proficiency with SQL, R, Python, or SAS • Experience in CART or other decision tree analysis tools is a plus • Hands-on experience in predictive modeling methods, data mining/machine learning techniques • Excellent written and presentation skills • Attention to detail, dedicated, and an excellent team player |
