Title : QA Engineer. Location : Redwood City, CA. Duraiton : 6+ months contract 2 of the QA Engineer need to travel 30% of the time, and Sony will pick that up. Other 2 will be on site. *The rate C to C is between $40, no higher * . I like to speak to all candidates to make sure they understand the job and do have clear communications. They must have either Perl or VB for the programming language. Java is a PLUS but have only hired so far people that all of them. At least 5 years and work in telecom. *They love people from AT&T, Verizon, Motorola, T-Mobile, Sprint, etc.* They will drill them on their projects in detail. They are interviewing this week. Skills and Knowledge and Competencies Experience with methods and tools for analyzing the development and technical characteristics of testing/verification systems Ability to work independently and escalate problems when necessary Strong communication, coordination, organization, and reporting skills. Experience using C/C++ programming language, PERL, VB, in software development Experience with TCP/UDP, SIP, RTP/RTSP, H.263, H.264, AACv2, DRM, IMS and WAP protocols JAVA coding background in a testing role Experience with testing tools such as ClearQuest, Mercury Quality Center, Aspect SIM Smart Station, Anite/SAS, Agilent 8960, Anritsu 8480, R&S CRTU-W, Ethereal/WireShark and proprietary phone software loading and logging tools. Verification in a cellular information technology (GSM, CDMA or TDMA) Technical understanding of mobile phone applications Education and Experience: (Identify the minimum level and type of education and experience to handle responsibilities of this position.)
