Position Description: Experience Level: 4 year degree and 7+ years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Description: · Act as a lead in providing application design guidance and consultation, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and existing designs. · Analyze highly complex business requirements, design and write technical specifications to design or redesign complex computer platforms and applications. · Provide coding direction to less experienced staff or develop highly complex original code. · Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts. · Verify program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing and debugging of programs. · Oversee overall systems testing and the migration of platforms and applications to production. · Develop new documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides. · Lead projects, allocate and manage resources and manage the work of less experienced staff. · Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and oversees creation of or updates to and testing of the business continuation plan. Information Visualization Specialist You will have proven experience surfacing analytical insights to decision makers through various presentation layers while leveraging industry best practices in dashboard and information visualization design. You should have a thorough understanding of the impacts of poor user interface design and how it may be avoided based upon appropriate chart selection, color guidelines, visual cues, limitations of vision, Gestalt Principle, implications of short-term memory, pattern recognition, etc. Required Skills: * Minimum Technical Experience: * 5-7 yrs. - BI/Reporting Tools (Tableau, Spotfire, R, PerformancePoint, SSRS, Silverlight, Business Objects, MicroStrategy, KPIs, Scorecardsetc.). * 5-7 yrs. - Experience writing and optimizing SQL database queries (SQL Server preferred) * Experience in using Data Profiling tools * Working knowledge Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 (Reporting Services and PowerPivot) * Bachelors degree in Business, Information Systems, or other related discipline * SQL Server Analysis Services 2005/2008 Cubes, Data Mining, MDX, and DMX * Chart patterns, Summary Data Preferred Skills: * Dimensional Modeling (Kimball methodology preferred) * Microsoft SQL Server Business Intelligence Certification (2005/2008) preferred.
