Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met. Specific Job Description: User experience designer / user interface developer specializing online solutions. Responsible for the design of web portal/portlets. Responsible for the online User Experience / User Interface for new and existing pages through innovative and interactive techniques. Collaborates with business and technical teams to evaluate general business requirements and present the best solutions based on user-focused design principles. Create innovative approaches to complex design problems and followed through to completion. Create wireframes and interactive prototypes using HTML5, CSS3, Javascript or similar tools. Designs website with both accessibility (508 compliance) and usability as the top priority. Leads development of design standards. May act as a lead, responsible for planning and monitoring schedule milestone and deliverables. Must possess effective oral and written skills and strong analytical and problem solving capabilities. Must be a team player able to work in a dynamic environment and have a working knowledge of the SDLC and the associated processes and documentation. General Experience: 14 or more years related experience Required Experience: • *HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, jQuery* *• Familiarity with front-end technologies like XHTML / HTML5, CSS2, CSS3, Sass, Scss, Bootstrap frameworks, Object Oriented JavaScript, Ajax, and modern JavaScript libraries* *• Knowledge of Section 508 requirements* Preferred Experience: *• Experience in WebSphere Portal Server Development, configuration, Administration, Security configuration with LDAP Server, Performance Tuning, Users and Group Management, Web Server configuration and Content Management* *• Experience with IBM Websphere Portal, Content Management system, WCM, FEB, and Connections is a plus* *Education: Bachelor of Science in related field or equivalent years of experience* Thanks!
