I am a Sr Executive Recruiter at Sonoma Consulting and I am currently working on filling an exciting new opportunity for Cobol Programmers that will be based at Hartford, Connecticut *Title: *Cobol Programmers *Location: * Hartford, Connecticut *Duration: 6 months* Requirements: They MUST be able to take a business spec and convert that into a tech spec and code that support the business need. Requirements include proven skills with IBM MVS, TSO, JCL and COBOL. Expediter, Debug. Demonstrated programming and design skills within both batch and on-line CICS environments. Working knowledge of DB2. Project Life Cycle methodologies experience valued. A minimum of 5 years analysis, programming, design and implementation experience. Prior Vantage experience is a must (5 years required). Bachelor’s Degree within a technical discipline is preferred but not required. The position requires strong analytical skills. Variable UL, SVUL, InReach, Group UL, and/or Moneyguard UL product knowledge is desired. Must have the ability to work with Actuarial and QA to analyze specifications and determine modifications required for development and implementation.
