The position detail are as follows: Client, a Media & Entertainment companies is seeking to engage an IIS Engineer to be responsible for architecting & designing a highly available, scalable, distributed Web hosting solution, specifically leveraging Microsoft's IIS (v5.0/6.0/7.0). This individual will also serve as SME – Subject Matter Expert for all IIS custom configurations and problem escalation. Required Skills: . 7+ years of IIS Web Administration experience ( Versions: 5.0, 6.0, 7.x) . 7+ years working in different Windows Enterprise Server version ( Windows 2000, 2003, 2008) . 5+ years of Web Architect experience hosting IIS-based solutions (Servers, NOT applications) . 5+ years of experience in setting up VB, ASP, .NET2.0, 3.5 applications . 1+ years of development experience desired but not required . 1+ years of working knowledge in cloud computing environment is desired but not must. . Performance tuning of web servers, applications hosting in IIS . Configuration of parameters to tune web servers. . Configuration of DB Parameters optimization . Clustering at Web server level, for farm deployment . Configuration of IIS Webserver for n-tier apps for high volume site . Data compression, http compression . Configuration of app to use the Web services, Integration platforms, 3rd party components Desired Skills: . Excellent Knowledge of Network Technology (Design of TCP/IP, UDP, IPV4, IPV6, DNS, SSL, Load Balancer) . Good understanding of database configuration in the web servers . Good Knowledge of the OS and service packs . Good Knowledge of architecture of OS . Good knowledge of SAN, NAS Data storage devices . Good knowledge of worker process, thread allocation, application pools, worker process settings . Working knowledge of VB, C#,COM, DCOM . Working knowledge of Microsoft Messing services, Microsoft Transaction server . Basic knowledge of Share point servers .
