Role -: Data Warehouse Autosys Upgrade Consultants Location: Dulles, VA Must Have Skills: Data warehouse Rates-: $60-65/hr c2c Job Roles / Responsibilities: Looking for smart, innovative, hands-on and committed individuals to work as a consultant for AOL’s Data Warehouse scheduler upgrade project. The person should be someone who has a technical background, can bring creative ideas, collaborate and coordinate with teams and take risks. Bonus: has worked as a system administrator or has experience with system schedulers. Responsibilities - Work on major Data Warehouse project of upgrading the job scheduler (Autosys). - Perform analysis of current implementation of job scheduler (Autosys) in DW environment. - Provide programming support and architectural guidance for latest release of Autosys R11.3. - Test DW tasks/Jobs using Autosys R11.3. - Plan and report on the Autosys upgrade project and its implementation along with managing/tracking milestones. - Coordinate and collaborate with Unix/Database Infrastructure, Development and Operations teams. - Execute the Job scheduler upgrade in production environment in a phased manner. - Lead working sessions and/or brown bags to educate on staff and other Operations teams on current Autosys 11.3 features and increase internal mindshare as project progresses. - Work with global DW Operations team in Dulles, VA and to deliver on tasks and milestones. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, M.S. is a plus. - A minimum of 7 or more years experience in IT and related field. - A minimum of 5 years of expert level experience working on Autosys Job scheduler, its programming and administration (Preferably on Autosys Workload Automation R11). - Expert level knowledge and working experience of Unix/Linux OS. - Expert in Unix Shell, Perl scripting. - Experience with databases and SQL programming - Experience with distributed systems, cluster environment. - Knowledge of large Data Warehouse, financial systems will be a big plus. - Able to plan and manage project deadlines and track them. - Proven ability to translate analysis into recommendations. Desired - Knowledge of ETL/ELT data processing, D=data mining and data warehouse best practices. - Experience with Ab Initio/Informatica/TalenD tools a plus. - Over 5 years of system administration or development/scripting experience.
