flexible work hours. Not 100% telework. The individual will need to come in for

<p><strong>Job Description</strong><br>The primary role of this position is to 
provide data architecture support to ITPM development project teams. ITPM is 
currently seeking a hands-on data architect to assist with the re-architecting 
effort of a critical Agency system which includes multiple data feeds/load 
processes and data synchronizations. As the data architect assigned to the 
project, the person in this role will be responsible for the data architecture, 
data migrations and integrations, and ensuring all data and reporting 
requirements are met while maintaining the integrity of the data.<br> <br></p>
<ul>
<li>This position will analyze and develop complex database designs, logical 
&amp; physical data models &amp; architectural system models. </li>
<li> This position will assist with the identification and resolution of 
information flow, data issues and the transformation of business requirements 
into logical data and system models. </li>
<li> This position identifies opportunities to reduce data redundancy, trends 
in data uses, and single sources of data while maintaining an enterprise wide 
perspective. </li>
<li> This position will assist with the development and collaboration of an 
enterprise wide data model and data dictionary.</li>
<li> This position is not eligible for over-time and will be capped at 40 hours 
a week. </li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Essential Skills/Competencies:</strong><br></p>
<ul>
<li> Extensive experience with Data Modeling and Database Design </li>
<li> Extensive experience mapping data and building out data integrations 
between disparate database systems </li>
<li> Ability to engage in detailed analysis of data discrepancies to determine 
the source and resolution of errors </li>
<li> Ability for an See below for details vision (see how a logical design will 
translate into one or more physical databases, and how the Data will flow 
through the successive stages involved for presentation to an end-user)</li>
<li> Ability to understand the business data needs and translate into data 
models (DFDs, DSDs and/or ERDs)</li>
<li> Experience with ETL tools</li>
<li> Experience with integration between COTS package databases and relational 
databases</li>
<li> Data Validation, Cleansing, Mapping, Extraction and Migration</li>
<li> SQL (PL/SQL is a plus)</li>
<li> Create and manage Data Dictionaries</li>
<li> Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and logical thinking</li>
<li> Clear and concise documentation skills</li>
<li>High level knowledge of programming practices</li>
<li> Aptitude for learning new technologies/applications/businesses</li>
<li> Excellent presentation, communication and customer service skills while 
maintaining a professional manner</li>
<li> Self-motivated team player – able to work cooperatively in a team 
environment</li>
<li> Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and meet deadlines when 
required</li>
<li> Remain flexible on changing workloads and priorities</li>
<li>Ability to communicate with diversified stakeholders</li>
<li> Experience manipulating databases within/through an enterprise COTS 
package (i.e. Microsoft CRM or Dynamics, PeopleSoft, eGRC RSA Archer, etc.) is 
a plus</li>
<li> Data Warehousing is a plus</li>
<li>Business Intelligence skills are a plus</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Experience</strong>:<br></p>
<ul>
<li>5+ years of normalized Data Modeling and Database Design (dimensional 
modeling a plus)</li>
<li>5+ years of experience in data-centric positions or roles</li>
<li>3+ years of data management experience is a plus</li>
<li>3+ years of SQL (PL/SQL is a plus)</li>
<li> Hands-on experience with ETL Tools is a plus</li>
<li>Public Sector background/experience is a plus</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Preferred Education:<br></strong></p>
<ul><li>Bachelor degree in related field is preferred, but not required.
