About the Position Understand the needs of the end users and translate your analysis into business requirements. You will see projects through the full SDLC, including interaction design, usability testing and acceptance. Essential Requirements •Experience trading and/or managing trading operations •2+ years in a business analysis role at a major financial services firm •Strong math skills, demonstrated by academic achievement •Thorough knowledge of at least one of the following asset classes: FX , Commodities, Interest Rates, Credit products. With respect to the asset class of choice, you possess sufficient product and process experience to recognize deficiencies and recommend best practices for the future state of the software. Product knowledge should include a complete understanding of the booking process, P&L, and downstream operational functions. You will be expected to gain similar expertise in other asset classes over time. •Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal – as appropriate for formal, international environments. Ability to articulate complex concepts fluently. •Ability to work well with customers and developers to build relationships. •Ability to understand product at an extremely in-depth level and to maintain understanding as product evolves. General Qualifications and Skills •Excellent writing, speaking, and presentation skills •Self-motivated, resourceful and creative •Systematic and organized •Keen attention to detail while keeping track of the big picture •Ability to multi-task and manage work to critical project timelines Additional Skills/Experiences Desired •BS or MS degree in Financial Math •Prior experience designing UI’s related to trading operations •Interaction design, prototyping, and usability testing UI/UX DESIGN: The Business Analyst – UI/UX Design Role As the Usability Specialist, you will be expected to understand the needs of the business and translate your analysis into business requirements and software specifications. You will lead select projects identified as having high usability impact, as well as contribute to all projects that have a UI design component. Essential Requirements • Must have a strong portfolio, demonstrating past success in designing UI’s for complex applications • Prior experience designing UI’s for major financial services firms or hedge funds • Experience in all phases of user interface development • Able to articulate a process for moving UI projects from the fluid “idea” stage through implementation • knowledge of at least one of the following asset classes: FX , Commodities, Interest Rate Derivatives, Credit, Equity Derivatives General Qualifications and Skills • Excellent writing, speaking, and presentation skills • Self-motivated, resourceful and creative • Keen attention to detail while keeping track of the big picture • Ability to multi-task and manage work to critical project timelines Additional Skills/Experiences Desired: • Degree in User Interface Design or Human Computer Interaction • Proficient with graphic design tools Please send resume along with contact # asap.
