Lead the planning, managing and delivery of projects and associated deliverables in support of organizational objectives within the Interactive Group of the MarketingDivision. Projects are executed using an agile (SCRUM) methodology. Facilitate iteration (sprint) planning, lead work within individual sprints, and coordinate re trospectives and demos. Assist key business users (product owners) with bac klog creation and prioritization.Ensure cross functional team coordination ( GUI designers, analysts, developers, andtesters). Lead daily sprint stand- ups and resolve conflict. Maintain and publish Agilemetrics (e.g. velocity and burn-down). Coach, mentor, and evangelize Agile best practices across the or ganization. Manage project external dependencies by workingwith outside team s. Strategically work complex issues where analysis of situations or data re quires in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Creates and manages Sprint plans for campaign launches to execute on time, accurately and within budget , such that work is done in a repeatable and predictable manner. Includes pl anning, plan creation and ongoing management, execution and implementation. Directs project activities to maintain progress, mutual interaction, and tasks of various parties in such a way that reduces the risk of failure, max imizes benefits, and minimizescosts. Builds, develops, and grows business relationships with project stakeholders atmultiple levels and multiple locations. Maintains continuous alignment with defined strategic business objectives. C oaches, mentors, motivates and coordinates projectteam members and contrac tors, and influences them to take positive action andmaintain accountability for their assigned work. Leads the implementation of projects as assigned b y Management. Essential Job Functions 1. Uses a relatively high degree of concentration to manage agile projects as assigned.Includes working with management to involve creative resources as appropriate.Negotiates sprint timelines and scope diplomatically, and mai ntains composure andproduction quality under deadline pressure. Manages proj ects through to completion through multiple sprint cycles with minimal direc tion. Performs essential job functions in an established office environment under normal lighting and climate control tolerances. 2. Develops and maintains sprint backlog to manage the execution of interact ive software development projects in support of Marketing/fundraising progra ms. Proactively identifies changes in scope of work, ensuring appropriate planning measures are taken with internal and external clients to reassess, renegotiate and amend scope of workwithin sprints. Updates sprint and product backlogs as necessary. 3. Solid general knowledge of interactive, web-based technologies enc ompassing front-end (GUI development, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSP, Json, Ajax , etc.), back-end (SOAP and Restful Web services, Oracle and SQL database) and supporting infrastructure (Web and Application servers - Apache, Weblogic, J Boss), security (HTTPS/SSL, SSO), etc. 4. Creates and provides detailed status reports and maintains the project using tools and software for management of tasks and project teams within a n agile (SCRUM) framework. Familiar with tools supporting the agile software development lifecycle (Jira, Quality Center, Rally, Pivotal, GreenHopper, MS Project, MS Office, etc). Requires use of apersonal computer. Leads all aspects of the project including initiation, planning, monitoring, implementation and closing. Uses critical path methodology and change management skills to manage assigned projects. 5. Builds and maintains positive relationships with partner departments by p roviding timely support; actively seeks solutions to address process or crea tive productionchallenges. Ensures completion of deliverables and adherence to timelines; tracks milestones and timelines across projects and institutes necessary work flow, mobilizesappropriate resources and analyzes issues tha t have potential to jeopardizeperformance and/or ability to meet agreed upon deliverables timelines. Requirements Knowledge - Requires thorough knowledge of general management methods within non- profit agencies; speak and write in a clear and understandable m anner; Understandscomplex verbal or written instructions. Must be well orga nized and systematic in work processes, possess excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with groups and in the conduct of meetings; ability to work well individually within a team environment; delegate and share decision-making with team members as appropr iate. Must have strong leadership skills and be able to lead agile project personnel, exercising strong interpersonal skills; Experience managing dist ributedSCRUM teams in a global set-up; communicate effectively with offsite team members toensure team cohesiveness and coordination. Thorough understa nding of agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures. Knowledgeable on agile pr actices for quality software development and delivery. Thorough understandin g of the agile software development lifecycle. Knowledge of patterns and tec hniques for the SCRUMapproach (example: Burndown techniques, Retrospective f ormats, handling bugs, etc.) manage multiple sprints simultaneously. Thorough knowledge of English spelling,grammar and usage; excellent typing skills and detailed knowledge of all mediums ofcommunications and tools used in those mediums; knowledge ordinarily acquired through bachelor's degree and 4 years of expe rience in ITS or engineering involvingproject planning, project plan creation and ongoing management, execution and implem entation. MBA is preferred.
