We are currently working on filling an exciting new contract opportunity for an *Java Web Developer *position that will be based out in *Las Vegas, NV*. *Job Title: Java Web Developer* *Location: Las Vegas, NV* *Duration: 12 Months* *Job Title: Java Web Developer* *Location: Las Vegas, NV* *Duration: 12 Months* *Summary of Position * The Software Engineer is responsible for the creation and maintenance of a functional and attractive digital environment using new digital technologies. This role aspires to combine usability with visual design to ensure a great user experience that drives conversion. *Responsibilities * · Develop components utilizing Java, HTML, JavaScript and CSS · Break down graphic web comps into viable well-formed code • Develop rich internet applications for customer-facing interfaces using the appropriate coding technology • Optimize code/applications for maximum speed • Design mobile-based features • Get feedback from, and build solutions for, users and customers • Write functional requirement documents and guides • Create quality mockups and prototypes • Collaborate with internal resources to enhance and troubleshoot issues with delivered solutions *Mandatory:* · Degree in a related field and/or equivalent work experience is required · Expertise in Object Oriented development, preferably with Java. · Experience with version control software (GitHub) and using IDE’s (Intellij IDEA) is preferred. · Comfort level using Kotlin, Javascript, HTML, CSS, Backbone.js, jQuery, and Require.js is desired but optional · Familiarity with and an understanding of web design and information architecture, as well as knowledge of web usability standards · Familiarity with browser testing and debugging · At least one (1) year of experience working in software development.
