*Job Description:-*

The position is responsible for providing Windows System operation support
for customer systems hosted in a 24x7 enterprise environment.  Enhancing
the operational environment with continuous improvements and analyzing and
resolving complex problems.

*Duties include, but are not limited to:*

·         Create, maintain, and execute scripts to perform routine
maintenance.

·         Utilize and support automation efforts by creating, updating,
maintaining standardize jobs with OS scripts.

·         Design solutions to complex problems and provide solutions.

·         Troubleshoot overall system problems and identify/resolve
problems in a fast paced environment.

·         Analyze system logs, and identify and remediate issues with
systems.

·         Perform hardware maintenance of underlying server infrastructure
including, but not limited to, replacing hard disks, fans, CPU/memory, I/O
cards, and updating firmware.

·         Perform patch/fix research and operating system software upgrades
through service packs and other software bundling methodologies.

·         Utilize system tools to monitor performance, capacity,
availability, and perform operating system tuning.

·         Configure, customize, and optimize fail-over clustering or other
high availability solutions.

·         Maintain and perform operating systems security:

o   Harden systems per Government Cyber-Security, and Departmental
Policies, Standards, Regulations, and Notices.

o   Security monitoring and updating of certification/accreditation
procedures.

o   Address and resolve security vulnerabilities related to operating
system software.

·         Maintain customer access to the systems and provide user with
technical support.

·         Document and perform changes and resolve incidents and problems
using Configuration Management Tools and Systems.

·         Maintain standard availability, operability and functionality for
the production environment at 99%, 24 hrs. per day, 365 days per year,
except for scheduled downtimes.

·         Respond to all server related problems that cause interrupted
services and ensure that service is restored in a timely manner.

*Required skills:-*

*·         **Knowledge and Experience with:*

o   Windows 2008/2012 Server OS Administration within the last 24 months

o   MacAfee server, Enterprise Antivirus Experience

o   PowerShell, Nsh, or other scripting tools

o   Networking configurations and Transmission Control Protocol/Internet
Protocol (TCP/IP) networking.

o   Risk Mitigation (patch management, vulnerability scanning)

o   Some experience with BladeLogic or other automation tools

o   OpenStack or Azure or other cloud environments is a big plus

·         *Following Knowledge and Experience is a plus:*

o   VMware

o   Other platforms e.g. AIX, LINUX, SOLARIS

o   ITIL v3 Certification

o   Microsoft certification like MCSA ,MCP, MCTS, MCITP, MCSE
