We are headquartered in Marietta, GA, 30067, serving customers nationwide in the United States. *Position: SAS Administrator* *Location: Alpharetta, GA* *Duration: 6 months* Required Skills: Must be a strong SAS Admin working in LINUX enviornments Needs extensive knowledge on the implementation side and providing solutions Onsite every day for the first few months and then 3 days a week and “as needed” in the long run. *Adding a SAS Certified Platform Administrator* *Work Description:* The SAS Certified Platform Administrator responsibilities includes evaluating the current BioSense Platform (AWS cloud) environment and analytical processing demands (SAS and R software services), and development and performance of a remediation plan to re-architect the analytical environment and implement additional servers, and to develop a plan for integrating SAS Grid computing into the environment. The SAS Administrator will perform necessary modifications to the analytical environment and develop appropriate administrative processes to support the utilization of the SAS services in the BioSense Platform by state/local users. The SAS Administrator shall improve the security and the utilization of syndromic surveillance data, and the ability to analyze the back-end data not available to the user through the ESSENCE syndromic surveillance interface. The SAS Administrator activities may also involve implementing SAS Grid computing, evaluating the performance capacity to determine if additional servers are necessary, and developing administrative SOPs and technical support services to support state/local users of the BioSense Platform SAS services. The SAS Administrator shall also include training and the transfer of knowledge for administering the SAS services to federal staff who will maintain these services into the future. The government requires the Certified SAS Platform Administrator responsible for evaluating, installing, administering and maintaining SAS services the BioSense Platform cloud environment, shall have the ability to perform the following functions under this contract: · Evaluating users’ needs and system performance · Developing remediation or implementation proposals and plans · Securing the SAS configuration on each server machine · Checking the status and operation of SAS servers · Monitoring, Logging, and Troubleshooting SAS Servers · Backing up the SAS environment · Administering Users and Data Access · Securing and Moving Metadata · Documenting analytic software services and processes *Must Have* · Demonstrated real world SAS Platform Administration on the Linux OS. · 8-10 years SAS programming experience · Demonstrated experience supporting SAS SEG, SAS Web, SAS Visual Analytics, SAS MidTier and SAS Metadata servers · Experience implementing SAS server solutions, performing system upgrades, patches, monitoring and optimizing SAS performance *Nice to have* · Redhat Linux Server Administration · Integration experience with SAS and Active Directory · SAS Reporting and Web Report Studio · MS SQL Server and SAS Connectivity. Functional experience integrating SAS and SQL · Experience in a “mixed” Windows and Linux environment and experience working with Windows Clients/Linux Servers · Experience supporting SAS Grid Servers, Grid Computing This will not be a SAS administration only position.
