I am the Senior Executive Recruiter at Sonoma Consulting and I am currently working to fill a role for a *Informatica Metadata Manager Opening in NYC **6+ month contract* *Role: Informatica Metadata Manager* *Location: NYC* *Duration: 6+ month contract* Must have Informatica Metadata Manager (IMM) for Data Lineage DESCRIPTION: This position is for supporting Business analysis, Data on-boarding, tools usage, training and support for Enterprise Metadata Management in support of regulatory and enterprise needs. Prior work experience with Data Governance framework and associated technical implementations and support is desirable for this position. S/he should have the ability to handle multiple tasks / projects of different scope and complexity simultaneously. Knowledge and aptitude of understanding the big picture as well as detailed technical skills is critical. Primary Job Responsibilities: · Consults with stakeholders to analyze, define, challenge and prioritize the business requirements, functional specifications and operational architecture for a functional work stream within a highly complex strategic, global program. · Implement/rollout end to end Metadata Management product in support of business requirements across various environments, including promotion of new releases and custom enhancements between these environments. · Be the key liaison for this function with various business and application teams. · Partner with Office of Data Governance, Business and technology teams in planning and rolling out the functional capabilities associated with Business Glossary/IDQ/ Metadata management product by configuring interfaces to source metadata from various sources. · Create architectural, system, data and process flow diagrams in support of designing, implementing and operationalizing solution. · Provides guidance in development of the technical design, test plans, and user documentation. · Leads & Executes implementation/conversion/data onboarding strategy planning and implementation across various Data/Data Governance services. · Assist in the creation of project tasks/plans; help manage various resources, tasks and dependencies by regularly interfacing with Data Strategy Program management in support of project deliverables, status and escalations (if any). Primary Qualifications: · Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required. · Minimum 8-10 years of experience in various aspects of Application/Software architecture/design/development and support with particular focus on Data architecture and design. · Expertise and strong working experience with IMM tool would be required. Experience with other industry standard similar products may be considered. · Active and recent work experience with Data Governance framework and implementing and supporting associated technology products is required. · Application architecture, implementation and support experience is highly desirable · Experience in the use of various information-gathering techniques such as workshops, interviews and iterative design sessions necessary to take the business requirements to data modeling and implementation. · Understanding of various data modeling techniques is desired. · Proficiency in using a data modeling tool and a thorough understanding of physical implementation issues, data strategies, design implications and performance requirements a big plus. · Experience working with financial projects and financial services industry is desired.
