Business Analysis or Project Management training and/or experience strongly desired. 4. Effective communication skills. 5. Must be able to communicate with both technical and functional staff. 6. Detail-oriented. 7. Ability to use independent judgment, common sense in the performance of tasks. The Business Analyst (BA) will participate in activities associated with all phases of the project lifecycle, with emphasis on the Initiating and Planning phases. The BA will work closely with Business Services Consultants and will interact with individuals possessing both functional and technical expertise. Responsibilities · Consults with BSCs to identify needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems and input and output requirements. · Elicits requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis, and other industry standard tools and techniques. · Writes, maintains, tracks and documents functional specifications. · Creates process flows supporting business and functional specifications · Develops, coordinates, and implements test plans for testing business and functional processes during system development, quality assurance and end user testing · Performs data analysis related to feasibility studies, cost/ROI and other objectives as required. · Makes process improvement recommendations. · Monitors and documents post-implementation problems and revision requests. · Documents policies and procedures. · Creates executive summaries and reports.
